“Goal Setting Workshop” by Faculty of Technology and Computer Applications

In view of the above a workshop on GOAL SETTING was conducted by AWAKE INDIA at Faculty of Technology and Computer Applications on 03/03/2020. Mr.  Ravi Rautela  enlighted the students  about the necessity of goal setting in Life and its execution.

 Goal setting has been proven to be a more effective method of achieving targets as opposed to aspirations. In order to be able to achieve your lifetime goals, it is important to set them effectively. He also gave insight to help the participants to identify what they want to achieve in their personal life and/or their professional life. Participants learnt to develop accurate goal-setting skills for overall development. Students learnt the meaning and importance of goal setting. It helps the students to identify what they want to achieve in their personal and professional life.they also learnt to develop accurate goal setting skills  for overall development.

This workshop proved useful to the students as there was learning based on doing. Several activities like poster making, goal ladders, interactive activities like group conversation and discussions were conducted to enhance the team work and leadership quality among students. It also helped in enhancing their will power and got determination for goal setting. This Goal Setting Skills Workshop  gave an opportunity to the  participants to understand the meaning and importance of ‘Goal Setting’. They were explained the psychology of Goal Setting and the Goal Setting Process was initiated. There was a discussion on the crucial difference between aspiration and goals . Also the participants were told to plan their personal and professional goals. The participants were asked to to identify and look at their life roles and also that what services they can provide to the other people.  Also they were told the importance of time management techniques to achieve their goals on time.  Participants were encouraged to include other stakeholders into their goals to act as coaches. The students were  told that they should reward their success to motivate them further.
