Online Alumni Meet on the occasion of Teacher’s Day 2021

Article contributed by Ms. Ritika Joshi (Assistant System Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services and AITS Alumna)

In Indian Culture, Teacher (Guru) has been given the highest place in society. As per the Vedic and Puran literature, Guru has been placed equal or even above all the Gods & Goddesses.

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा ग्रुरुर्विष्णुः
गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः
गुरुः साक्षात् परं ब्रह्म
तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः

Guru is Brahma (who plants the qualities of goodness), Guru is Vishnu (who nurtures and fosters the qualities of goodness), Guru is Maheswara (who weeds out the bad qualities), Guru is the supreme Brahman itself, Salute to such Guru!

5th September marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radahkrishan who was a staunch believer of education and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, recipient of Bharat Ratna, first Vice- President and second President of independent India, and above all, a teacher. Teachers’ day is celebrated in commemoration of his birthday and to pay a tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society.

As one looks at the great impact on the growth, development, and well-being of the students and nation, one must agree that teaching is a noble profession. The light of the world, the beacon in the dark, and the hope that gives us strength to survive is our teacher. Teachers’ Day is a day to honor the gifted souls who give their heart & soul to make sure that the future is bright for us all.

It is a matter of honour for the Institute to have the worthy presence of teachers who have been impeccably contributing in shaping the future of the students in a commendable way with their efficiency and expertise.
